There is horrific suffering in Central America. The US is greatly responsible for the desperate conditions in these countries, often because we chose to back authoritarian governments who supported US corporate and imperial goals. Yet when desperate families try to migrate to the US to better their children's lives they are met with violence, walls, tear gas and disrespect.

Trapped in the US by a maddening waiting game for citizenship, he grapples with the idea of leaving the life he built in New York behind forever in exchange for a long overdue homecoming. Will Edward reunite with his family or continue on in his self-imposed purgatory?

A law professor and her students assist organizations fighting the ongoing immigration crisis while honoring those perished on their journey into America.
